Where was I?

Took scott chair up to the peak. Was going to do Promise[d] Land back to lodge or to Subway.

Didn't have enough speed to get over the ridge (skiiers left), ended up heading towards Munchkins. The area I ended up in was a large and long Gully or River bed that was untracked at the time (little under a month ago, just after the BIG storm) and was truly a great run!

Ended up at Bear Creak and John Scott road.. OPPS!

Long walk back to lodge..

BTW and FtR (for the record), I should not have gone back there unexperienced and by myself, and I am thankful for surviving!

You were in an area known as the Condo Run. You get there by dropping into the bowl on lift-rider's left of Scott, or dropping to the right from that ridge you were on. If you stay left enough and follow the traverse lines, you can make your way back to subway, but if you go too far down, you hit the road.

That is an excellent area to go; it has some seriously fun terrain. You probably shouldn't go back there alone, but what's done is done.

The more official name for that area is Subdivision Bowl. If you are looking down at the large gully or valley from the top of Scott Chair, Hemlock bowl is to your right, Subdivision Bowl is straight ahead (assuming you are facing out towards 89). We call it condo run because if you do it right you end up at the Condos near the Stanford Chalet, the sledding hill, and Tubeville. If you come to the Condos, hang a hard left and you can pretty easily skate back to the bottom of Subway. It sounds like you went a bit right and ended up on John Scott. Usually if you start walking toward the Alpine Access Rd and stick your thumb out, someone will pick you up and give you a ride back to the lodge.

Wrong again, just like the M-chutes, you got it backwards. Please stop posting your amateur knowledge.

This would be the time that I politely point out that the information you posted in correction is not so clear either. If you have accurate information you would like to post, that is fine. Hammering on forum members is not okay, unless you're 12 years old and on MySpace.

Like I said, he got it backwards. Hemlock is right there at the top of scott continuing skier's left, subdivision is to the right.

And the right answer is?
Streets are straight, houses are square, and our bodies are round. We don't belong there. We belong outside, doing stuff. - Warren Miller

From the top of Scott, if you hike up the short steep hill directly in front of you you will be at the top of Christmas Tree Chute. The small bowl left of Scott unload, on your right as you traverse to P.L. is bullwheel bowl with bullwheel chute being the shot right off of unloading. If you go toward Lakeview and hike up before you get to the Leisure Lane Winter Rd intersection, that is Hemlock Bowl. If you continue up Leisure Lane toward Lakeview and drop of the backside that is Leisure Chutes. Continuing toward Lakeview where the ridge turns towards Munchkins, the steep chutes off of the high point of the ridge are called the Fallopian Tubes. The area on your left as you start the Munchkins traverse would be Subdivision Bowl also containing Diving Board Rocks. When the ridge turns left toward Munchkins the faces, chutes that face back toward Scott are called Colorado Rocks, then leading to Munchkins Pk. Subdivision is the name for the entire area off the backside, from the Colorado Rocks down to Lower 40 Face, as all lines if taken all the way down lead to Bear Ck. subdivision.

Now that was a complete answer. If we could just find it in map form.....
