Tube Town Is Apparently Happening

Seems as if the Alpine Meadows surveys have a way revealing the truth of what is going to happen. The posters are up for "Tube Town".

I just don't get it...

My daughter went to Tubeville yesterday afternoon and so did my housemate. They freakin' loved it! Totally fun and a great break from skiing/riding.

Go give it a try before you poo-poo it.

Yes, probably fun for some. It saddens me to see the dumbing down of sports. I specifically brought my school group to Alpine because they did NOT offer tubing. We want kids to adopt a life long sport.

I am probably more aggro about the summer lake tubers...same reasoning.

But, whatever, if tubers want to pay Alpine to ride tubes in a flat area that doesn't get used for anything else, it works for me. At lease they don't mess up the snow for everyone else and it contributes to someone's employment.
